Love this store, but even better the cafe inside that serves delicious sandwiches.
The store formerly known as John's. Best place in town to pick up a Sunday times, a breakfast sandwich and a bunch of worms (ok, it's the only place).
There's a decent selection of soda and snacks here. There is also a nice selection of birthday cards from the early 90s.
It doesn't get much more authentic than this place. It's a general store that's been in the town for decades. My wife and I were in town for a wedding and needed some wrapping paper. We found some plain brown wrapping paper in a back corner. When we took it to the register, they said it was from their "vintage" section. The whole place looks "vintage" to me, so that was really saying something. When we opened up the wrapping paper to put on the gift, we found that the outer layers had at least a decade of sun-fading. It actually made a nicer wedding gift since the wedding had that "quaint country feel".
